Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at Verus Print.

If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds.

The following terms are applicable for any product that You purchase from Us.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:

  • Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Verus Print Inc. in Victoria, BC.
  • Goods refer to the items offered for sale on the Service.
  • Orders mean a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
  • Service refers to the Website.
  • Website refers to this website Verus Print
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Your Order Cancellation Rights

Since each order is custom made, there is a specific time beyond which it is not possible to cancel an order.

The deadline for cancelling an Order is the time when an order is placed in the production queue. We do not print our customers’ orders inhouse; as an online print reseller, we contract with a printing facility in the Toronto area. See our “About Us” page for more info.

In order to cancel an order, You must inform Us of your wish to cancel via email.

Please type “CANCEL ORDER” and your order number in the subject line.

If the order has not yet been placed in the production queue, we will cancel your order and issue a refund of the amount paid to Us less any cancellation fees charged Us by the production facility (min $25). We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order.

*** If the order has been placed in the production queue it cannot be cancelled.***

Conditions for Refunds or free Re-Prints

In order for the Goods to be eligible for a free re-print or refund, one of the following must apply:

  • The Goods were produced with an error on our part (any error made by Us which makes the Goods unsuitable for its intended use; such errors include but are not limited to: ghosting, smudges, light ink, incorrect perforations, form alignment, etc.)
  • The Goods were damaged in transit (mark any packaging damage on the waybill from the carrier when received and confirmed by the carrier’s signature)

We reserve the right to refuse refund or re-print of any Goods that does not meet either of the above conditions.

If the order is being re-printed, changes in the original order (paper quality, quantity, options selected) may be allowed at our discretion (depending on extra cost involved). We reserve the right to refuse any changes.

Errors/Issues not eligible for refund/free re-print include but not limited to: spelling and grammar, poor graphics, no bleeds, damaged fonts, overprinting, form fields, files not built to template or page order. Although we will do our best to spot these types of errors, the onus is on you, the customer, to ensure your DIY/Outsourced design is error-free prior to approval to be entered into production.

You agree to provide proof of damage/error upon request (i.e. images).

You agree to contact Us within 5 business days of receiving damaged/defective Goods; failure to do so will be deemed acceptance of the order and a re-print or refund will no longer be available.

I’ve entered the wrong address; can I change it?

If this happens to you, email us as soon as possible; we MIGHT be able to take care of it. However, we can’t promise to catch it in time as all our orders are usually processed within 24 hours after you approve your design and may ship out within a couple days after that. If your order has already entered the shipping process, we won’t be able to change the address.

Late or Missing Refunds

Please understand that we issue refunds as soon as your refund request is approved – that means that the money leaves our account immediately. If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. Some credit card companies have taken up to 30 days to show that the refund has been put back on the card. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.
